Our Australian Guarantee

All of our products come with an Australian Manufacturers Warranty and we offer support via phone for any technical issues.


Online Shop Pty. Ltd. trade as DC Cameras & Optics with Australian ABN number 50633309841 at 133 Alexander Street Crows Nest, 2065 Sydney NSW Australia warrants that, during the warranty period, the product will, with normal usage and service, will be free from faulty parts, manufacture or workmanship.
The warranty period differs between manufacturers and products but is generally 1 year or 2 years. For up-to-date warranty information, please refer to the Australian manufacturers/distributors website.
This warranty only applies for products purchased new from DC Cameras and Optics.
This warranty only applies where a defect or fault has arisen, as a result of faulty manufacture, parts or workmanship during the warranty period.
This warranty only applies for the servicing of products by the Australian manufacturers authorised service agents, or service centres, or authorised service centres by DC Cameras and Optics when following the instructions for making a warranty claim.
The Warranty will be voided where fault or damage is caused following factors, including without limitation;
Normal wear and tear,
Abuse, mishandling, accident or failure to follow manufacturers instructions,
Exposure to any liquid infiltrations of foreign particles, or battery leaks.
Servicing or modification of the product other than manufacturers authorised service agents, or service centres, or authorised service centres by DC Cameras and Optics,
Use of products with unsuitable inks, batteries, power or memory cards.
Impact damage due to shipment, or other transit by the customer.
This warranty is to be read together with any benefits that DC Cameras and Optics may provide to a consumer under statute.
This clause is related only where goods were supplied in Australia: Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. As a customer you are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
You have rights and benefit under that consumer laws in your jurisdiction. Without detracting from these rights or benefits, DC Cameras and Optics excludes all liabilities in respect for the product for any other loss which is not reasonable from a failure of this product, which may include liability for negligence, loss of tape/card, loss of images, loss of expenditure associated with the product and loss of enjoyment.
If warranty claim by customer is not accepted by DC Cameras and Optics:
DC Cameras and Optics will inform the customer;
DC Cameras and Optics will inform the customer of the estimated cost of repairing of the product; or
If is not repairable, DC Cameras and Optics will inform the customer
If the product is repaired, the customer is responsible for the agreed cost of the repair, and for all costs associated with collection or transportation from DC Cameras and Optics.


The process of making a warranty claim is as follows:

You must inform DC Cameras & Optics as soon as the warranty claim arises.
You must provide your original proof of purchase and a detailed written description of the fault (including photographs, image samples or any other relevant material)
Subject to the applicable consumer laws in your jurisdiction, you must pay for all packing, freight and insurance cost for the transit of the product to DC Cameras and Optics.

If the warranty claim is accepted DC Cameras and Optics will, subject to the applicable consumer laws in your jurisdiction, at its cost repair or replace any faulty parts or rectify any faulty workmanship before returning the product to you.

Please return the completed form via email, fax or mail. Please also include a copy of the form with the product when you return it to us.
