Cokin Pure Harmonie 49mm Anti-UV Multi-Coated (UV MC) Filter

PURE Harmonie filters are the thinnest and the lightest in the world. With a thickness of 3.3mm for the Multi-Coated Anti-UV (UV MC), 4.5mm for the Circular Polarizer (C PL) and 9.5mm for the Variable Density Neutral Gray (ND X) they are almost invisible when mounted on your lens. Their weight is so light that you won’t even notice that they are attached. They have been engineered with no compromise: very robust, compatible with all lens caps and multi-coated with EVERCLEAR 5 Coating Technology to withstand almost any conditions. Super lightweight for maximum AF performance and ultra-shallow profile to prevent vignetting.

The contact lens of your lens

Anti-UV filters are used to prevent ultraviolet light from getting through the lens, by reducing haziness or fogginess caused by that type of light. Anti-UV filters offer a physical protection from dust or scratches to the lens. PURE Harmonie UV MC filter is made of extremely resistant glass with very high level of light transmission. Thanks to its extreme thinness, PURE Harmonie UV MC filter also prevent from lens flare that could occur when using traditional UV filters.

Extraordinary transmittance

Considering all the engineering constraints we had to take into account when making the thinnest Multi-Coated Anti-UV filter in the world, we are very proud to meet the best standards thanks to a very high quality glass with impressive transmittance.

  1. Yes it really is too thin! review by Tony on 3/08/14

A followup review on the Cokin 49mm CPL I bought. It is still stuck on the lens. A brand new (clean) 35mm lens is now limited to polarized shots only! Following advice I have tried: a pin, a needle, a tiny jeweler's screw driver, a rubber band and the nail on my finger. It won't budge. No I didn't screw the filter on really tight. Its just really small and the 'grip' is hidden behind the rotating bezel. So you cannot get a purchase on the filter to take it off. Buyer beware. Make a more practical purchase.
