A Combination Of Power And Versatility
MONARCH 3 Riflescope
Whether you’re varmint shooting, hunting in the first or last light of day and need the extra resolution that high magnification can offer, or simply want big power, this is your scope.  This incredibly versatile riflescope has the big 50mm objective to draw in the light plus a great magnification range for a variety of hunting situations.  Scope includes an easy-to-reach side focus parallax adjustment for an unmatched sight picture from any shooting position.

Nikoplex Reticle
A perfect choice for shooters wishing to have a clear field of view with one specific aiming point through their choice of optic, the Nikoplex reticle is a great choice for shooters who want a simple aiming point that can still utilize all that Nikon’s Spot On Ballistic technology has to offer.

Spring Loaded Instant Zero-Reset Turrets
To simplify field adjustments, Nikon has integrated this feature into all MONARCH 3 Riflescopes.  Just sight in at 90 m as usual, then lift the adjustment knob, rotate to your “zero”, and reengage.

Ultra ClearCoat™ Optical System
The difference is clear to see
Nikon has engineered the entire optical system to provide the shooter with a bright, sharp and incredibly flat sight picture and light transmission up to its theoretical maximum- 95% for clear sight picture form dawn to dusk.

Spot On Ballistic Match Technology
Custom precision at your fingertips
The MONARCH 3 line is optimized for use with Nikon Spot On Ballistic Match Technology. Spot On allows you to discover all of the exact aiming points on the BDC reticle for your exact ammunition and load.

Hand-turn 1/8 MOA Windage and Elevation Adjustments
Reticle adjustments are made in 1/8 MOA click-stop moves you can both feel and hear, and with no backlash to make your shot creep off target. Positive click reticle adjustments get you zeroed in quicker and maintain your setting—even with repeated recoil and under rugged conditions.

Rugged, One-Piece Body Tubes
Engineered for minimum weight and maximum strength and durability, Nikon builds these scopes from aircraft grade aluminum alloy and utilizes larger internal lenses for maximum resoloution. Larger tubes allow for the best resolution, wider windage and elevation travel, and superior low-light performance.

Enhanced Mount Ring Spacing
Provides greater mounting versatility. Most MONARCH 3 models can be mounted to virtually any rifle action regardless of caliber- even magnum-length actions.

MONARCH 3 Eyebox Technology
Keeps your brow safe—even with the heaviest recoiling cartridges, lightweight rifles, and severe shooting angles.  Every model features an impressive 4-time zoom range and up to ten centimetres of non-critical eye relief. A massive ocular lens delivers a huge, exceptionally bright, high-resolution sight picture.

Nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed for confidence under any conditions

Smooth Zoom Control
Magnification reference numbers are viewable from the shooter’s position, making adjustments in the field quick and precise.

  1. Very impressive scope and excellent value review by Scott on 24/09/15

After being disappointed with some US made scopes, and being impressed with a Nikon Prostaff EFR 3-9x40 on my rimfire, I went in search for a scope to suit a new .223. After a lot of research I settled on the Nikon and have found it to be impressive value!

Fitted to a new .223 rifle it dialled in at 100m with only a few shots, then produced a sub-MOA 3 shot group at 200m. Used it a week ago and easily hit 300m gongs with just a tad of elevation. OK, so the rifle shoots but if it wasn't for the scope it wouldn't be hitting much...

The scope came with sun shield, three sets of turrets (stock, tall target, and what I call fat). For the first two turrets you get appropriate turret caps. Very nice. I like the tall turrets as I can easily read them. Then there is a very nice set of flip up scope covers! Oh, and the lens cloth is a nice inclusion.

Side focus is quite accurate, plus or minus a bit for my aging eyeballs. Ocular focus is also nice. The NikoPlex reticle is fantastic, simple but very nice with it's wide spacing and very fine center dot.

Range of adjustment is nice, not that I've run it to either end, and the rotation markings are very handy to ensure you don't dial in one more or less rotation than you thought. Those 1/8th MOA adjustments may seem overly fine but they really do work. Return to zero from any adjustment is perfect.

Optics exceeded my expectation, just like the Prostaff on my rimfire.

I've used it at the range and in the field. At night 6X is just about perfect for field use from 50m outwards. On the bench 24X rules! I thought I may be trading off close in work (low magnification) for the 24X stuff, but it hasn't been a problem.

I recently had the chance to compare the optics to a 50mm Ziess, albeit only a 12X, and found the Nikon far better. In particular, the NikoPlex reticle was much finer than the Ziess, not to mention the price.

Excellent optics, excellent reticle, good adjustments, and an excellent range of included accessories. Proves you don't need to spend a fortune to get an excellent scope!
